Retrotecchie Ltd is a small specialist engineering company formed in 2013 and located in Ceredigion,Wales.

Although most of Retrotecchie's 60+ years of combined experience has been gained in the field of Police and Military training and simulation, engineering is still engineering and challenges are still challenges. We take problems, thrash them around a bit, investigate methods of solving those problems and try to engineer the most reliable and cost-effective solutions to those problems. And where does 'retro' come in? Because sometimes, the old ways are the best. While we are happy to deploy high-tech solutions, in reality it rarely takes a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Although most of our core skills are electronics-based, we have a wealth of experience in automotive, marine, environmental, mechanical and electrical engineering.

We are also specialists in refurbishing and repairing legacy electronic equipment. In these days of built-in obsolescence the easiest and quickest option may be to replace older equipment with new, but that is not often the cheapest solution. Certainly today within the public sector there are constraints on budgets which means that capital is not always available for replacement of obsolete equipment. Many suppliers of older equipment may either not support older equipment or may well not even be in business any longer. Don’t throw it away! We can assess it for you and, in many cases, extend the useful service life of equipment at a very competitive cost.
